I have been meaning to give an update on Kara's masterpieces, and Eamon's recent blog reminded me to get moving on this. (So abstract too, Eamon! Way cool!).
So the first one may require some explanation (an explanation given by the artist herself). The obvious guess is a dinosaur (because of the armored plates of course) ... but it turns out that this is a "backpack" whale (one can only assume a spin on a humpback whale) that has 100 legs (give or take) who was jumping out of the rainbow (bottom right) with his parchute on (brown line joining the first and last backpack). Evolution gone wrong or creativity gone right?
A flower for mummy.

I love the story behind the backpack whale.
I have always considered Kara the artist of the group - although Eamon might give her a run for her money eventually. These are incredible.
Oh definitely creativity gone right. And Kara seems to be the more willing artist - Eamon alas not so much.
