Lake Chelan

So a while back (during my non blogging phase), we spent a long weekend at Lake Chelan, a huge lake somewhere in the middle of WA state. We got to catch up with many of our old friends from our first stint in Seattle - mostly ex-pats. I think there were 16 adults and 6 kids in all - hard to tell as it felt like a college trip with bodies sleeping all over the place! The girls had an absolute ball and enjoyed the attention from everyone. The only blip on an otherwise perfect weekend is that our girls woke up at 4am (we had anticipated them waking each other up and we had tried to separate them slightly by sticking Sophie's travel crib in the closet!). To keep them from waking the rest of the house we took them for a drive to 'downtown' Lake Chelan ... at least you can always rely on Starbucks opening at ~5am even in the middle of nowhere.

The house. It had it all. Kayaks, speed boat, tubing and wake board gear ... and almost enough bedrooms for all.

The weather was sensational and the surroundings unbeatable.

The kids - Lewis, Sophie, Kara, Tessa, Camila and Laughlin.
