Soph

After informing MM Marya once that "it's not Soph, it's Sophie!", Kara's current name for her sister is Soph. A couple of times she has pointed to Sophie then the couch/sofa and said "Soph ... Sofa ... Soph ... Sofa!"

And the smiles just keep coming with Soph - she is truly amazing and I really think I am a happier person because she radiates such happiness every minute of the day.

So a quick update on Soph:

Soph is putting shapes in holes and she has figured that most shapes go through the big square hole! She has also started building with blocks. She'll say dadda and mumma clearly and we can just make out the beginnings of words such as bye-bye, hi, thankyou, and baby. She is comprehending more - she walked past a ball and I asked her to turn around and pick up the ball ... and she did!

Sophie adores her books. She always picks one out from the shelf and comes over and sits on my knee. And she has gone from chewing the spine to turning the pages and pointing out animals and such.

She thinks she's pretty funny too - I placed her on the floor to change her, next to a clean diaper, and when I turned to get the wipes Sophie literally jumped up, grabbed the diaper and ran away giggling.
