Sophie: Do you forget a lot of things mummy?
Me: Yes I do sweetie, and I seem to forget more and more each day.
Sophie: Do your thoughts just fall out of your head? Or do you just forget where abouts in your head they are?
Me: That's a good question Sophie, and while I think both your ideas are good, I think most of the time my thoughts are in my head then they just fall out when I'm not thinking about them.
Sophie: Huh.
Two days later ... Sophie is in her warm, fuzzy, footed PJ's walking towards me to join me for book time. She trips over.
Me: Did you just trip over your own feet again Sophie?
Sophie: No, I think I tripped over one of your thoughts that you keep leaving around all over the house.
