Boo-Boo

Boo-boo!

This is Kara's first pet name for Sophie. In the past she has used derivations of names we commonly use (e.g. pretty pie instead of cutie pie), but this name she made up all herself just for Sophie. No idea where it came from but it's really cute.

Boo-boo had her 9 month check-up today (only 3 weeks late). She was 20 lbs 2 oz and 28.5 inches in length. She's also teething again which is really bad timing and she's having a hard time with it - she has 2 more days to get the tooth out before we jump on a plane.

Kara has been sensational the last few days. Her bottom lip was trembling when we picked her up from day care yesterday in the rental car. "This not Kara's car!". Then she started saying things like "I want to go to MY home" and "I don't want to go to new home". We thought she was going to cry, but instead she asked to hold daddy's hand and she sat solumn-faced instead. When we got to our temporary apartment she was very skeptical at first and we literally had to coax her inside .... but after just a few minutes she started running around the apartment, sitting at the table on the high stools, etc. Then out of the blue we heard her say "I like the new house. I don't want to go back to the old house!".

P.S. Ellen - I had a Snickers bar today, just like you told me I should/could!
