(Kara's narration of the story)
There once was a little girl who came out her front door with a knife and a plate. She was ready to pick and carve the watermelon that she had planted during the year.
Imagine her disappointment when she saw a pig (a very cute pig) sleeping in her watermelon patch!
So she asked a coyote to come help her. The coyote howled and howled, but Ms. Pig did not wake up. She then asked a rabbit - the rabbit went hop, hop, hop but still Ms. Pig did not wake up. A snake came by and said "I can use my tail to lift Ms. Pig out of the watermelon patch". The snake pulled and pulled but Ms. Pig was too heavy and did not wake up.
Then a cricket came by and said "I can make that pig wake up!". The coyote said "No you can't"; the rabbit said "You're too little"; and the snake said "You are not strong enough".
But then the cricket began to sing. The pig woke up and said "This isn't a good bed anyway" and left to go back to her sty, sulking.
The little girl ate her watermelon and was happy, and celebrated the whole thing with the cricket, the coyote, the rabbit and the snake.
But instead of just one watermelon, they ate two. The rabbit couldn't even fit into his house; the coyote didn't have enough room for his howl to come up; and the snake wasn't that strong anymore.
But the cricket barfed and he was fine.
The End.
