Kara:
I think I got to the bottom of the recent doggie fear (which thankfully seems to have passed). Kara has the Noddy book series (by Enid Blyton) in her bedroom and in one particular book there's a chapter where the dog knocks Noddy to the ground. Even though I keep telling her that the dog is licking Noddy to death, Kara keeps repeating "doggie bit Noddy" or "doggie is biting Noddy". Needless to say that book has been placed on the top shelf out of reach.
Sophie:
Having spent the first 7 months of her life as the delightful, no-cry and quiet (to the point of us forgetting she's there sometimes) angel, Sophie has finally found her voice. She's not as loud as Kara ever was (but then who could be), but Sophie now cries if toys are taken away from her and cries if she can't see us. There's also a lot more little babbles and da-da-da-da-da-da's. Kara and Sophie often "converse" with each other now which is cute (except when Sophie squeals and Kara squeals back ... repeatedly).
Lance:
He's at it again. Once a year he spontaneously rearranges either a room or the entire house ... almost as if he were nesting (no, no ... there is NOT a 3rd on the way). Once I drove a friend who'd been staying with us to Union Station (all of 5 mins away) and on my return he had actually moved all the furniture around in our basement floor. No warning, just all completely rearranged! Today the entire house was downsized, culled and moved from one end to the other while Kara napped (a 3 hour nap, mind you!). She had a ball when she woke up and was playing with all sorts of old toys that evidently looked more inviting in their new habitats. I have to say the house looks great - more room that flows better - and the girls now have 3 play areas, one of each floor!

Have you ever thought about pimping Lance out to help people organize. I used to be uber organized and uber clean and would pick up the house every evening. Now...I'm just not and I just don't. Frankly, if Lance stood over at me and raised his voice a little bit I would surely get lots more work done around here. Perhaps you all might fancy a visit over Christmas vacation?
