Sophie now waves bye-bye (although not in this video). She can walk by herself although she much prefers to crawl or use this walker. It's so true that the 2nd child often picks up things quicker than the first - Sophie has been walking her favorite baby in the stroller for about a month now, and she has begun to put blankets on her baby and even does a fairly good job of putting a diaper on her baby!
The main difference between the two of them is that Sophie is generally incredibly quiet. With Kara, you knew exactly where she was and what she was doing almost every second of the day (and she's still this way). But often we forget that Sophie is even there, and now that she has started walking we really have to keep an eye on her. I left the front door open the other day and by the time I was wondering where she was, Sophie had gotten down the front steps and was on her way to the gate - thankfully we have a little picket fence to keep her from truly escaping.
