Ahhhh ... the New Year got off to a wonderful start with BOTH girls SLEEPING IN until 7:30am!!!! This was after Kara went to bed at 6:10pm and Sophie at 6:30pm the night before. Sensational! (Sophie is still waking twice to feed but at least she's in bed for ~12 hours each night).
Kara was in play date heaven for the last week and a bit of 2007:
. Sat 22nd - National History Museum
. Sun 23rd - Teo's house
. Tues 25th - National Mall
. Wed 26th - Esther's house
. Thurs 27th - Teo's house
. Frid 28th - Daddy's Day (shopping for bikes, of course)
. Sat 29th - Kara's house
. Sun 30th - Building Museum
. Mon 31st - Connor's house
. Tues 1st - Zoe's house
I've noticed Kara becoming a lot more social with both her friends and their mums/dads - she'll talk to the parents and run up and play games/pull faces - more so with those more familiar to her, but also to adults in general. I was always painfully shy as a child so this is really nice to see.
Evidently Kara had gotten a little too used to being at home having 'unstructured fun' for a week and a half .... so her response this morning when I went to put on her day care 'uniform' was "NOOOOOO! No day care. No day care please mummy!". Sorry kid, it was loads of fun, but I need a break!
Quick update on Sophie: she now has 4 teeth - we call her fang as her 2 top eye teeth came through instead of the 2 middle ones. She also surprised us last night by crawling up 2 stairs - I REALLY am not ready for this.
P.S. - Sorry, no photos!
