We often find that we can't recall when Kara did this or that - that is one good thing about blogging I guess - the chance to look back. And it was quite revealing to go back to when Kara started at the Montessori school.
You see we have been thinking that Sophie doesn't seem nearly as ready to start "pre-school" as Kara was. We recall Kara's speech being extremely crisp and clear at the time, her sentence structure and vocabulary was good, she seemed more "mature" somehow, more interactive with others/adults, blah, blah.
Well, for some reason I was looking back and our ability to recall things accurately may be warped with time. I wrote somewhere that I went away for work for 3 days and when I came back Kara's speech was clearer and she spoke in full sentences (inferring I guess that she hadn't always done so!). And potty training was awful on day 1 (9 times in 4 hours ... which I think equalled the record we thought Sophie had set on day 1).

I totally agree. It is amazing that these events only happened 4 years ago. When I first asked my mom about specific things about my first few years I was shocked when she told me that it was hard to remember them exactly. Now I do understand what she meant
I am so grateful for the blog! I wouldn't remember when David did anything without it!
Me too - the blog has become the baby book.
