They LOVE the new toy. Lance bought it primarily for Kara but Sophie was the first to get her hands on it (well, actually mummy was, when they were both napping). Sophie could not stop playing with it for a whole hour while Kara was still in bed, which is pretty good perserverance for an 18 month old.
Then the boys got hold of it .... and another 2 hours went by!
The down side? Kara woke at 5am this morning. Daddy went in to tell her it was too early - the reply was "But I really want to play with the building blocks .. pleeeeeease daddy!". She lasted until 6am - then I drew the short straw and went downstairs to build "castles" with her.
Sophie wasn't even interested in getting out of her sleep sack - it was straight to construction (and destruction).
I realized I post relatively few photos compared to text, so here's a bunch of Sophie.

The girls played with this until the minute they had to go to bed.

I looove Tinkertoys. And I feel like putting chili peppers in Benjie's underwear whenever I remember that he lost the set I got for Teo from the thrift store (for all of 3 or 4 bucks).
We have been wondering if David was too young for these. Looks like they might be at the right age. Looks like they had a great time.
