Waiting, waiting

And I'm anxiously waiting at home for the furnace guys to show up and fix our furnace (it may not get as cold here as in DC, but it's still getting chilly).

And I'm anxiously waiting at home for some early election news to start streaming onto the internet. As we are on the West Coast, our voting doesn't close until 8pm and the TV coverage doesn't start for another few hours ... (but we all know who Washington, Oregon and California will be voting for) ... so we'll be hearing results from the East Coast first which will be more exciting anyway.

Here's to a landslide!

I guess I am also interested in the local politics too ... (especially as my boss's job kind of depends upon it! And I like him!). And the WA Governor's race 4 years ago came down to something like a mere 123 votes - unbelievable. I really don't think it will be that close this time, but nevertheless there are several tight races here.

Isn't it funny - I've never cared so much for an election before. Anyone would think that mine and my children's health and welfare might depend on it! Hmmm, that's right, it does!
