Lance ... such a rookie ... in order for me to fulfill my promise of folding the laundry FOR ONCE, Lance has taken the girls out. To the park - no. To the museum - no. To the zoo or aquarium - uh, no. He has instead chosen to take them to the toy store "just to buy some better building blocks".
Yes, Lance thinks that he can take both girls into a toy store, somewhere where they have never been before, and come out of there with just building blocks!
And Jason has gone with them - so there is actually 4 kids in a toy store, all going "wow, look at this!".
Note: I am extremely good at putting laundry in the washer and transferring it to the dryer. I'm even good at emptying the dryer each time. But then it appears to stagnate in a large laundry basket in the girls playroom - it has been like this for several weeks - to the point that both Kara and Sophie know to go to the basket in the mornings to pick out their clothes for the day. So yes, I do require an undisturbed 1+ hours to fold and put away the laundry.

I hope they got good stuff:). Bet they spent more than you ever did at the thrift store though!
$36 bucks. So not too bad. But you are right, I used to get several tops/pants/jackets, a couple of toys, and some books at the thrift store for this!
I have the same problem with laundry. I do it and it sits clean on the floor for days.
Same laundry issue here, although I think we generate more that Fiona and Marya ;)
This happens in my house - or worse, I get it folded and brought into my room, but it sits there until it has been emptied, one outfit at a time. Thankfully, I have offloaded all children's laundry or theirs would be a mess too!
