Amerispeak.
While some of our friends have "Eamonspeak" or "Estherspeak", Kara has "Amerispeak".
Once upon a time Kara used to say 'mummy' and I was oddly proud that she said it the Australian/English way ... but now it's definitely 'mommy'. Many other words were pronounced like we pronounced them, but now she pronounces ALL her words the way her friend's do - words such as bath, banana, tomato, castle ... Kara even pronounces her name the American way ("care-ra" instead of "car-ra").

I speak French to Rachel and she mostly replies in English
This makes me so, so sad. I will ALWAYS say "car-ra" With her sophisticated sense, I'll bet she would understand if you explained that the way you and Daddy talk is a special way and it would be nice if she would call you Mummy.
